Personally, I think the "How Tom Cruise Remembers 9/11" three parter is as close as I want HE to come to an actual story line. Extended jokes are perfectly acceptable, and encouraged. Like the LOLacaust.

Good to hear. I actually had a thought today that if I were to come up with a "story line" that fit HE I would probably do a graphic novel, print only and black and white.

I've done at least four 2 or 3 part comics so far, and they are a lot of fun, but the spirit of HE is to make fun of something(s) and move on.

absolutely, i enjoy a 2 or 3 part comic every once in a while, but that's about it!

I know I'm way late to this, but I agree that a running story line is unnecessary. I do think the occasional multi-part comic is a nice change of pace though. The October 15 & 17 strips about Apple, for example, were genius.

I always enjoy extended storylines in my comics (assuming the writing is good, but if it's not, why would they be my comics?) but I recognize that's simply not what HE is about. HE is far too topical for anything resembling such a thing. I'm willing to bet Joel's promised a multi-part strip before, done the first one, then REALLY wished he could make fun of something funny that happened in the intervening time.

Were going to write this comic to one song and one song only. Lady humps by the black eyed peas.

Oh, and I want an epic story line starting with everyone drinking beer with predator and Cloverfield, and ending with Joel carrying Josh out of a burning building screaming "Your god as my witness, I'll never be sober again!"
