Attention FBs: Eli is now officially an officer of the Hijinks Ensue Steam group!

What do the FBs want from the Steam Group? Game Nights? HE annoucements? the expansion of the Group's Chat room? I'm open for suggestions.

Just got Steam (again) - SgtRerun. I'll join the Group when I restart into Windows again...

Finally getting a new graphics card (11.5 inches long [you know who you are]) so my system should be able to play TF2 at a decent framerate for once. I'll try and remember to check out that lonely little icon on my desktop sometime over the weekend probably.

I might be game for a little TF2 as well if you'd be willing to put up with my ham-handed attempts at FPS.

I think they make a controller for your disability, you ought to look into that.

The larger one of course. All kidding aside that one actually did fit my hands very nicely.

I thought I was the only one who liked the "duke" controller!

I've been playing the shit out of TF2 at the moment, damn that game is well made. I also have left 4 dead which needs some playing. I ALSO just realised that I didn't allow enough space on my Windows partition so I'm going to have to deal with that next week which will involve purchasing another external HDD, wiping the partition, re-installing windows and (if nothing goes wrong) re-installing steam/my recently purchased games...

Do you have enough space on another partition on the disk? You might save yourself a lot of time/money investing in a partition manager (e.g. Norton's PartitionMagic) instead. If you really need to migrate to a new disk drive, an image utility (e.g. Acronis True Image) could save you some trouble. True Image lets you migrate the contents of a partition(s) to a new disk - even if the new partition is a different size. I used it when I upgraded my laptop disk drive (which has three partitions) and it worked easily and flawlessly.

It's also possible to resize paritions for free using an Ubuntu live disk. clicky

Probably not looking hard enough. Haha, I could swear I sent you a friend invite as well. FB game night would be awesome. Also! I only need to back up L4D and TF2, chucking them on an external HDD isn't too much trouble. I have nothing else on the partition I need, it's just a pain in the ass to waste another hour installing windows and all the applications Windows requires to run decently. Should be fine. Thanks anyway guys, always having your help is a very refreshing thing...

I don't really need anything particular out of, but I'm not really active in the more common multiplayer steam games.

I bought the orange box since its 9.99 but it left me with a HL2, and a HL2:Episode1 I can gift to someone - does anyone want these?

As Muttonhead pointed out, Go get the Orange Box for 10 bucks, seriously!

On one hand, I'd love to do Game Nights (mostly for TF2), but I also know that it's not something I'd be able to really commit to on a regular basis. The problem with the current setup IMHO is that in order for me to know that some of my friends are playing, I need to already been signed in to the memory hog that is Steam. If there was a nice little Twitter plugin.....or...guh I'm an idiot...we could simply tweet that we're up for a game. Might be an issue for us sneaky work-from-home-types to say it in the middle of the afternoon, but if I'm bored with prime-time TV I'd be pretty likely to log in after seeing somebody post a "LFG" message. I have a feeling it will end up like the Fancy Bastard BSG/Lost/Dollhouse chat sessions - one person randomly says "Hey, who wants to....." and the room fills up.

For what it's worth, I changed my SteamID to reflect the possibility of a Fancy Bastard "clan". So I'll show up now as "PCWspunkmaster [HEFB] "

EDIT - Just saw this video, and I am in love with it. The time and effort it must have taken to synch everything up is just crazy! Oh, and it's TF2 sound effects over Saving Private Ryan. You know you want to watch.

Man I don't think Joel even knows about those.

I'm absolutely up for TF2 clannage with the FBs, though I'll sure have to work on my game. Twitter is a good way to organize it, but we'll probably want to find/create a server so we don't all have to go searching.
