Fancy Bastards and Magic
  • MagicladMagiclad August 2008

I'm quite surprised that there's a D&D discussion. Two actually. But there isn't one for one of the best Trading Card Games of all time!

Where are the Fancy Bastards that play Magic: The Gathering? Speak up! Discuss favorite games, cards, deck ideas, upcoming sets, and whatever else here.

    "Do you like magic?"
    "No. I LOVE IT!"

I used to play alot, still have tons of cards sitting in my parents basement. A collection made up of mostly Revised through 6th and alot of the expansions up through the Urza stuff with some various Alpha, Beta, Unlimited as well. I have been thinking of picking it up again however.

I play every now and then. I haven't bought any cards in about a year.

...but really, when you have a Sliver deck with all three five-colour Slivers, do you need any more?

I used to play, but all of my cards we're sold (without my knowledge) in a yard sale last year.

I've seen people play Magic TG for about forever now. It looks interesting, but I know that I have room, time, and money for only so many things in my life. MTG just isn't one of em.

Somewhere in my closet I have two sets of Monty Python/Holy Grail CCG decks. I can't imagine that Magic could ever compare!

    Two words: "Unglued" and "Unhinged".

I obsessively played the Star Trek Next generation CCG back years ago still have both my Klingon and Federation decks somewhere. Had the complete bridge crew with the Enterprise D and my Klingon deck was completely broken because i had so many holographic characters in it. Stopped playing when they started expanding it with all the add on packs and the rules got even more complicated.

Decipher made the best CCGs. The old Star Wars one was/is pretty boss.
