It's all there in the title. How did you stumble upon Hijinks Ensue in your travels of the intersack and when did you find it?

Someone posted a video of Josh cheating an achievement at Guitar Hero on the site I administrate. Being a webcomic whore I looked up HE and fell in love immediately, this would have been a little before this time last year. There were only 10 - 12 comics up when I found HE...
  1.
I can't really remember, actually. I think my co-worker found HE via StumbleUpon and shared the comic with me. I went back and read all the archived comics and started keeping up with it as it progressed. This was, meh, roughly 3-4 months ago. Now, I mostly lurk the FB forums all creepy-like.

I was browsing the PA forums for the first time, and found the original HE thread, with only a few posts on it. In other words, I found Joel as a baby on my doorstep. I remember the Guitar Hero vid, because the site was still small and I was ravenous for content, not that that's changed.

I'm a member of Scans_Daily on Livejournal, and Joel posted a link...god, I'm not sure when, but I'm pretty sure it was over a year and a half ago. Ever since then I've been addicted like a hooker on crystal meth.

    Most likely JoCo.

edit: I do remember seeing that Josh/Guitar Hero mirror video on Digg. Maybe that had something to do with it. But yeah, I read Penny Arcade, which led me to JoCo, and when HE did that zombie comic, I got linked here.

I found HE through Joystiq's Weekly Webcomic Wrapup. I don't remember which comic it was, but it was obviously videogame-related and it was pretty early on.

    edit: better link

Yeah man! He even won this week for his riff on Guitar Hero (har). Third place this week for "Rock Band is exactly the same as Real Band". Third place here for Wiimo. Second place here for the Westwood College comic. Third place for "Scared Straight".

There have been more, too - that's just the handful that came up first. Pretty good showing if you ask me. Even if you don't ask me, really. But yes, you do need to pay more attention. :) I have to imagine it's pretty good publicity though. Might be financial incentive to invest in a next-gen system Joel (nudge nudge)!

That's because every site linked that picture. Every damn one.

What was it that everyone on the podcast searched, and got back Josh? Manhole?

Definitely found HE thanks to JoCo, then passed it on to JonnyAce with the AmGlad comic/blog entry (as he mentions earlier in this thread).

Digg... yes yes, I know, it's 4chan with glasses, but there are still some decent things there. I'd probably switch to Reddit if it wasn't so ugly as hell, and if the users there weren't so anti-digg, for no apparent reason.

From a Dr. Seuss story. Wikipedia says: "Some Sneetches have a green star on their bellies, and in the beginning of the story the presence or absence of a star is the basis for discrimination. Sneetches who have stars on their bellies are part of the "in crowd", while Sneetches without stars are shunned and consequently mopey."
