It's all there in the title. How did you stumble upon Hijinks Ensue in your travels of the intersack and when did you find it?
Someone posted a video of Josh cheating an achievement at Guitar Hero on the site I administrate. Being a webcomic whore I looked up HE and fell in love immediately, this would have been a little before this time last year. There were only 10 - 12 comics up when I found HE...
I can't really remember, actually. I think my co-worker found HE via StumbleUpon and shared the comic with me. I went back and read all the archived comics and started keeping up with it as it progressed. This was, meh, roughly 3-4 months ago. Now, I mostly lurk the FB forums all creepy-like.
I was browsing the PA forums for the first time, and found the original HE thread, with only a few posts on it. In other words, I found Joel as a baby on my doorstep. I remember the Guitar Hero vid, because the site was still small and I was ravenous for content, not that that's changed.
I found HE through Joystiq's Weekly Webcomic Wrapup. I don't remember which comic it was, but it was obviously videogame-related and it was pretty early on.
edit: better link

Yeah I've actually seen HE there a few times. Almost every time Joel puts a game-related comic up.
Yeah man! He even won this week for his riff on Guitar Hero (har). Third place this week for "Rock Band is exactly the same as Real Band". Third place here for Wiimo. Second place here for the Westwood College comic. Third place for "Scared Straight".
There have been more, too - that's just the handful that came up first. Pretty good showing if you ask me. Even if you don't ask me, really. But yes, you do need to pay more attention. :) I have to imagine it's pretty good publicity though. Might be financial incentive to invest in a next-gen system Joel (nudge nudge)!

a friend of mine sent me the link that has Denise's 1st appearance (if i'm correct), it was when AmGlad came back with Hulk Hogan hosting. i originally got into HE more b'c of Joel's comments below his own comics.

Posted By: DrOswaldA while ago some web comic mentioned the picture of Josh dressed as Kratos in their news. The picture of Josh led me to HE. I couldn't tell you what site linked the picture.
I was Googling 'rainbow shitting unicorn' and found the site that way.
Or maybe it was linked via Joystiq... I dunno.
Posted By: EuripedesI guess I'm the only one who found it via Joel's guest strip for PVP? Hm.Yes, like the Tragedian. We learn everyday.
Found HE when Coulton posted about Joel giving him the comic he made about him.

When joystiq showed your guitar hero comic: http://hijinksensue.com/2008/05/28/guitar-hero-iv-the-inevitable-conclusion/
In their Webcomic wrapup thingy.
Definitely found HE thanks to JoCo, then passed it on to JonnyAce with the AmGlad comic/blog entry (as he mentions earlier in this thread).
I was referred here via another HE reader I know...
Digg... yes yes, I know, it's 4chan with glasses, but there are still some decent things there. I'd probably switch to Reddit if it wasn't so ugly as hell, and if the users there weren't so anti-digg, for no apparent reason.

Now the Star-bellied Sneetches had bellies with stars.
The Plain-bellied Sneetches had none upon thars.
From a Dr. Seuss story. Wikipedia says: "Some Sneetches have a green star on their bellies, and in the beginning of the story the presence or absence of a star is the basis for discrimination. Sneetches who have stars on their bellies are part of the "in crowd", while Sneetches without stars are shunned and consequently mopey."Posted By: TarmanydynPosted By: DrPepperMD

I found you through Pownce and Digg at about the same time. Got me hook, line and sinker.
In my case my initial exposure to the site is a little vague. I think it was Stumbleupon that lead me there.
Whedonesque link to some of the dollhouse comics, a crisis or faith actually. from there it was the archives, then the podcasts, then the vault... so on and so forth
I think I started with the Westwood College Comic (via Joystiq), and it went from there. I was one of the initial podcast listeners!
found it the exact day he posted the jonathan coulton zombie strip. could not stop reading and laughing.
