I was just watching the mythbusters episode about pulling apart 2 interleaved phonebooks and when the group is trying to tug the books apart from a fixed point Adam Savage says something along the lines of "pull you fancy bastards".
I was under the impression that "fancy bastard" was a phrase coined by Joel for HE is this the case and the phrase has found it's way it to the geek lexicon or was it already in more general use before Joel used it and I simply wasn't aware of it. -
I thought I made it up. The only expletive I've heard with "fancy" is something along the lines of "sweet fancy Moses!"

Haha, I remember him saying that now. I think its very possible that Adam is a reader, hes definitely in Joels core demographic.
Did some googling and besides HE the only other fancy bastard entries are for a jam/rock band called FancyBastard from Minneapolis formed in 2004. -

Yeah, I remember watching the season premiere and thinking, "This is pretty goddamn cool!". Then a few years later I watched them vaporize a cement truck. My life flashed before my eyes. -
