Any FBs in the SF BayArea?
  • Tree-VorTree-Vor December 2008

Tindomiel and I are wondering, are we the only FBs in the San Francisco Bay Area?

Edit: Heh... Almost forgot to say why we're wondering, she had the idea of setting up a FB field trip to the San Jose Tech Museum and we wanted to see if there would be any one else able to go or if we would be the only ones showing our Fancy Bastard pride.

Aww man! I used to live an hour outside of San Francisco when I was in the service, but we've since relocated back to the mid-west.

Completely opposite coast. :-/ Sounds like fun, though; enjoy displaying FB pride.

Likewise. If we ever get that map of known FBs going some time I'd love to organize something around here (western MA).

    East Coast BastardCon?

  • SeanSean December 2008

Yeah, I think we're pretty much spread out all over the country...and overseas as well. Johnny Ace and I are both in NJ, and John Darc is in Brooklyn, so the ECBC would definitely be a possibility. Actually, NYComicCon in February will be attended by Gabe and Tycho (and Rock of Love's Brandi C., but that's more of my own interest), so that might be as good a time as any to try and get a group together.

That is a definite possibility. My roommate and I were talking about going; the big issue is finding a place to crash...and saving money for all that sweet, sweet merch.

  • DramDram December 2008

I'd love to go, if I can find any of my friends geeky enough to attend and sober enough to drive.

There's always the train or bus.

hadn't thought of that... way too used to walking everywhere. Still like to bring a sidekick from out here, but if this takes root I'll probably go no matter what. BTW, once we start getting serious enough to discuss hotel arrangements and all that, we should probably split this into another thread.

Indeed. Or an e-mail chain. Although I seriously doubt any sort of hotel arrangements near the venue, as I hear this thing books up most hotels in the area months in advance. How much are tickets?

That's not as bad as I thought! I may ask my parents for this as a birthday gift, given the reasonable price.

I like how I swing by this thread in time to see that it is no longer about the Bay Area. :D

    ...sorry. :-(
