I'm glad you guys like it, now write! Let me vicariously have enough time to work on it.

Now I feel even more guilty for this considering I'm in no way an asset to this process yet, but I have a few page requests:

A page specifically for the comic portion of HijiNKS Ensue

A page specifically for the podcast

A page specifically for the Vault (please do not post images or other media from the vault to the wiki, summaries of postshows are fine)

A comic cast page listing characters appearing in HijiNKS Ensue comics and their first appearance

A podcast cast page listing all former and current participants in the HijiNKS Ensue podcast, please NO LAST NAMES (even Josh's, which just about everyone knows) or other non-public information about the cast.


If you're not sure about something, DON'T include it. Things that are semi-personal posted to Twitter may need to be taken on a case-by-case basis, such as links to certain Flickr or LiveJournal accounts which may contain compromising information regarding the cast or the company they keep.

If you would like to use a picture not currently published on HijiNKS Ensue taken by or portraying a cast member of either the podcast or the comic, get the author's permission and the permission of at least one subject, then list the author along with the photo and DO NOT link back to any source web pages unless specifically requested by the author to do so.

If you would like to post a full HE comic to the wiki this is fine if the comic is being referenced directly or otherwise being used to demonstrate something, but please do so sparingly. While there are no hosting fees, the wiki should not become a Mirror.

The Wikipedia article only failed because of elitist, controlling fuckholes who don't consider web comics worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia. We are--or more specifically, Dram is--in control of this wiki, though, so I don't think we'll have a repeat performance.

edit: So I went back to listen to episode 2 to hear the "daughter's name" bit, and that time stamp is not only way off (and I think by more than the 5-10) but way after the bit...Shouldn't the time be relatively during or before the bit starts?

I'm sorry about that. The reason for some inaccuracies is that the MP3 player i have can get a bit wonky if you start rewinding too often, and it gives the wrong timestamp. I only realized the problem after the 4th podcast, and since then, I've been trying to correct it by turning off and on the MP3 player whenever I rewind. Still, some timestamps will be off. Please correct them if you find a problem.

At request I'm going to create a page for posting guidelines, most of which are already present here.

PS: Whoever made today's "Featured Media" two thumbs waaaay up! If you make any more of those feel free to add your name to them, you deserve credit.

For whoever just messaged me about a glitching character page, you need to sign your user messages. Also, a large part of the glitching you are experiencing is likely due to the enormous size of the tables on that page. You need to reduce those, whether or not they are a cause of your difficulties. The 'old' and 'new' character images are a novel concept, but not space economical. Please just post recent pictures of cast members or create a separate page for the evolution of HijiNKS Ensue's art. I believe there is a limit for how many pictures you can have on each page, and you are definitely exceeding it. For now, only post pictures of main cast members on the character page, and keep them small. If people want to see a larger image of a character they can always visit their individual character page.

John Darc, I wouldn't even know where to begin to make such a page, I mean how do you describe the "pew" sound, or how to catalouge all the various quotes. I'll need a hand on that.

Estel's page won't be on the height of Obama or Jesus until she's also drawn in the comics somehow.


I want to know what you guys think we should do with Categories. My thought is that for instance, I could use them as tags for each podcast. for instance I could add the category "Tree Beard" to any podcast where the Tree Beard impression is done, that way if someone really loves that impression they could go to the Tree Beard category list and find all the podcasts that have impressions of him. While that system sounds good, it also means that the podcast category list will look like a complete mess of randomness.

Also, what should I do with questions that have already been asked on the Podcast. I've got a ton of them, each that could be split into their own categories (questions about TV, movie, comic books, questions about how the podcast started, and just random personal ones). Should I just make a questions wiki page and try to categorize all of these?

This was slapped together quickly, so there is no alphabetical order, and many of the sound effects and some of the quotes have Unknown sources.
Hopefully the others can pick it up from there.

The categories are for easy browsing for those unfamiliar with the wiki. We should stick to the basics for now, i.e. Characters, Podcast, Comic, etc. Things of that nature. Using them for tag clouds would make such browsing impossible.

It might be from the KISS FM Kidd Kraddick in the morning show, not sure.

EDIT:

I just want to warn you guys of another glitch I found. There are two systems at work, the original wiki form where you have to use HTML, and the modified version that tries to simplify everything. If you type a website, (like DrHorrible.com) in the modified version, then the modified version will automatically make it a link. However, this confuses the original wiki version and causes it to delete the link, the words for the link, and surrounding words. So yeah, don't ever put an external link unless you explicitly use External link.

EDIT EDIT:

Arrrgh, another glitch. When I go back to some normal text and put in a link to another wiki page, sometimes it will randomly have problems, and eliminate the spaces on either side of the word. It's just random and stupid, I have to go back to the original wiki controls to fix it.

The lost podcast was just me, josh and eli. We were so nervous about doing a good show that NOTHING we did was funny... until the very end when we realized Garageband had locked up 20 minutes earlier.

Okay guys, I've started making stub pages to signify different topics (usually from movies & television or the internet) that I know should have pages, but haven't had the time to make those pages. If you guys can upgrade those stubs to fully working pages, that'd be fantastic.
