So, I know Joel went and at least recorded V on his TiVo or DVR or whathaveyou.
But how many of you watched it?
My SPOILERIFIC THOUGHTS!Spoilers (highlight to read) I was supra excited to know that we had not just Wash, but also Inara in our new little sci-fi we-wank-to-firefly lineup. I didn't expect everyone to just start applauding them damn aliens. I was surprised when everyone didn't go "OH SHIT ALIENS FROM THE SKY OVER EVERY MAJOR CITY OH FUCK OH FUCK IT'S INDEPENDENCE DAY ONLY REAL LIFE NUKE THE MOTHERFUCKERS." No. They fucking applauded. But whatever. Then they skip three weeks of time, in which the "Vs" or "Visitors" have set up tours of their space-traveling homes, free clinics with miracle medicine and a whole cartload of other stuff. We find out about a terrorist cell, who is trying to kill the all good Vs OH NO. And then we meet this cell, and then Wash gets stabbed in the chest. Okay, I really only did this spoiler so I could go "Wash got stabbed in the chest. Again. Goddamnit."

The show was good. I'm gonna start watching it on the actual television. -
Spoilers (highlight to read) I actually said out loud when he was killed "BUT HE'S A LEAF ON THE WIND!" I thought it was ok. I thought the humans were to accepting of aliens, but atleast they had the one tool go "its like Independance Day for real".
I must say that I'm interested in future episodes, but I didn't think it was to great. -
Yeah it moved too quickly into the intrigue, without spending enough time on the big picture. I'm giving it a chance as well, but it's on probation.

I read something the other day that said the producers essentially tried to fit six episodes into four, which is where I think most people are getting that sentiment.
Nashoba and I caught up on the latest two episodes last night. I'm really liking the series. I think the casting is pretty great, except for the kid they got to play Tyler. I want to give him a haircut and break his nose.Spoilers (highlight to read) Wash got washed--again! I'm torn as to how to feel about Dale getting "killed" again. While I'm rooting for the Fifth Column and I think it's great they have someone on the inside, I was simultaneously dreading and hoping for a confrontation and multi-episode plot-line between Dale and Erica.

Spoilers (highlight to read) In the third episode, after Wash woke up, the doctor-whats-it got inside his head to help him recover his memory. Well he did, and he remembered Erica was at the warehouse. The doctor said, "She'll make a great ally." Wash said, "You're a traitor." The doctor injected him with a drug and said, "The Fifth Column says hello." Wash died. Or that's what we were lead to believe, anyway. "Never hold your farts in. Spoilers (highlight to read) Well...I just watch that on Hulu yesterday. That's a damn shame, Wash can never get a break. Erica is getting kind of balsey with the snooping around in the V ship. I think it's getting better but I'm surprised how unperceptive she is for a mother.
