Am I the only one who thinks we might be going a little too far, too fast on this whole Monsterization of Classic Novels trend? It feels like it's simply too much awesome to bear. -
I thought the book was cool from a stand point of what can be done with a "classic" novel. I don't think we need a movie/mini series though. I didn't think it was a good book though, I simply enjoyed the idea of rewriting portions of a book and still maintaining the main plot.

Yeah sounds pretty dodgy. I think these are given: it could be done, it could be funny, it could appeal to a reasonably large audience. What isn't known is if it could possibly appeal to anyone that already knew about the property and had absorbed what was already out there. Would probably just feel like weaker versions of what's already out there.
