The other day, @monkeyplusplus joined the Cult of Android and asked for app recommendations. Since there are too many to list on Twitter, I thought this was the next best thing.

AppBrain is a service that indexes the Android Marketplace and makes it searchable on the web. They also have an app that augments the Android Marketplace app. With it, you can sync your list of installed apps to AppBrain and get updates for some of the built-in apps that are otherwise difficult to find.

So here are my recommended Android apps. What are yours?

I just picked up my HTC Incredible in August, and since then I've found that I can't live without:

Music Mod (Replaces the default Music app with one that is prettier and slightly more functional)
DoggCatcher (Wonderful podcast app. Sure, it costs money, but it's worth it for over-the-air podcast grabbing)
Dropbox (There's always some damn PDF I need to look at so that I can yell at a contractor)
    Angry Birds. Don't judge.
K-9 Mail. I personally like it better than the Gmail app or HTC's default mail app, as it allows for a unified inbox and more power user features.
Tip Calculator. God do I suck at math.
    Pandora
SNesoid, for all that old-skool gaming action

Might I suggest Google Listen for your poscasting needs. Bonus: It's FREE!

Also, my list of recommended apps.
