I really liek Serj Tankian's Empty Walls which is really weird considering that I really don't like political messages in songs. It's just... his facial expressions, the subliminal aspect, and whole psychotic little voices in his songs are so amazing! And the music is damned awesome to boot!

I agree. They are my all time favorite band.

Noone has mentioned Flight of the Conchords yet. I got into them through their music first and then watched the TV show. Just straight up hilarious and clever stuff spanning all sorts of styles.

Love Bowie and the Conchords. I wish the Conchords had included all the songs from the TV show on their CD though. I really want I'm Not Crying and Bret You Got It Going On.

The Emo is strong in this one.

But, I'm guilty of liking at least Weezer and Saves the Day as well. Stay What You Are made my summer between junior and senior year possible. I think it was sponsored by that album. It was a sad, mopey time for everyone. I stayed in that funk for a while. Come that spring, we invaded Iraq and I signed my Army contract. Mistakes were made.

Anyway, I like Rooney and The Thrills. And The Darkness. And I think it's fun to type weird words into Pandora or Last.fm and see what radio station gets created.

i thought that emo meant braid and the promise ring, i just assumed that say anything was more of a glorified pop punk band.
