i was so scared to start another thread! thank you so much for starting this! i loved the preview last night. i'm so happy to have been able to say that i've witnessed this show since the pilot and watched it blossom into the beautiful iris of a program that it is today. i don't know if you keep up with the live journal thread or anything but it's pretty hilarious how many people didn't get what dr. mrs. the monarch's surprise was.

I loved how the "crucible" was the other voice actors doing silly(er) voices.

Season 3 probably wasn't the best place to start watching, i am totally lost. It was funny though and quite weird.

I don't mind spoilers, i've never been terribly fussy about those sort of things.

I just watched Assassinanny 911 via googlevideo, and I laughed my ass off. The first disk is top of the Netflix queue now.

Favorite character? Mine is the Monarch.

I watched the scene where Brock is interrogating some guard for information, but everything stops and Brock is forced to tell the Guard he found a lump.

Gold Man, Pure Gold.

I recently picked up season one and two as a gift and have been rewatching them all over again (and again... and again...). Dr. Girlfriend is by far my favorite, followed in close second by Brock... and Molotov... and 21 and 24. One of my many favorite lines (from Assassinanny 911) "My pants are haunted! My pants are haunted!".

the monarch is most definitely my favorite character, hands down. i think that doctor venture would be my second fave.

if we have to choose secondary character then it would be the galactic inqusitor.

My roommate is impeccable at imitating voices, so really, if I'm sans DVDs and Intarweb, I ask him for a scene and he can do it. His best by far are Dr. Girlfriend and Monarch, so I'd have to say those are my favourite characters, given that I can see a one-man show of any scene the two of them are in together.

By the way, is it just me or are they piling up way too many backstory-heavy episodes early this season? I loved last week's episode, but the one all about Billy's past seemed a bit much.

i'm really in love with the new season of the venture brothers, i had been waiting for this season for more than a year (it felt like forever) but i can definitely see how too many back story episodes can wreck someone's entertainment if they aren't totally submerged in the show.
i would love to talk about last weeks episode (i think it was "home is where the hate is") but since i don't have television and i'm just watching the episodes online i don't want to spoil the world.

this blog by jackson publick totally clears up why the billy quizboy back story felt a little out of place.

Thanks for posting that lj link! I didn't think it was a bad episode, I just wanted to see more of the Venture family.

the only people in the venture family that i care about are brock and doc, the boys should have been left back in season two.
except for that batman outfit.

"Ghosts of the Sargasso" is definitely a winner. That may be my favorite.

"tag sale, you're it" is from season one, it's also hilarious.

my favorite episode is "victor. echo. november"
the batman costume! and everyone is in it. it's wonderful.
other favorites are

ghosts of the saragasso
escape to the house of mummies
twenty years to midnight
home is where the hate is

and then all of them.songs to sleep to

you should just rewatch all of the episodes for funsies. my roommate and i are prone to just having the first two dvds on to have them on.
